Morning Routine Upgrade

SARAH CURNOLES

LIFE COACH

Hiya Reader,

I want to tell you a story about how powerful a morning routine can be.

I recently did an experiment where I got rid of all my morning routines. I stopped working out. I stopped meditating (mostly, that one was hard to let go of), I stopped journaling. I kept brushing my teeth and drinking water, obviously.

I was feeling disconnected from my routine and I wasn't sure if my routine was actually helping me or if it was just checking items off a To Do list of "things to do to be productive and successful."

To figure out what was actually helping me, I decided to get rid of all of them for a little while. Then I could start fresh and add back anything that really helped.

At first, it was really freeing! Like those first days of summer vacation as a kid. No books! No schedule! I can laze about in bed without rushing to meditate or stretch!

And then the lack of a routine started to take an effect on my mood. I got cranky and impatient. I was more judgmental about others and fell back on my patterns of expecting perfection from myself and others.

I felt less organized, less strutted, and more rushed throughout the day. Like there wasn't enough time and I definitely didn't have enough focus to get done what I needed to do.

Apparently those routines actually were making a difference. With my routines I noticed:

  • an increase in energy and creativity.
  • a sense of calm and being grounded that lasted all day. Less rushing.
  • improved ability to manage my thoughts and emotions.
  • I could choose how to respond instead of emotionally reacting to everything.
  • I was ready to fall asleep because I felt tired and positively productive.
  • more patience with others and I was more willing to give them grace for trying their best.
  • more excitement to get out of bed and get the day started because I was starting my day with something I enjoyed and benefitted from.

It was totally worth it to find a way to connect to my routine, even if I only have 10 minutes to stretch and meditate. The payoff was huge.

Because I saw such a dramatic increase in the quality of my life, I wanted to help you with your routines!

I created a free guide for you to craft your own best morning and evening routine. Because you're already on my list, I want you to get first dibs. You can get your free Routine Builder Guide here!

SARAH CURNOLES BREAKUP COACH I remember a big fight I had with my ex that led to our breakup. I vaguely remember what the fight was about. What I can clearly remember was feeling completely out of my body. I was so incredibly anxious it was like I vibrated out of my body. All I had was a swirling of thoughts that were on an endless loop that kept me up all night. And the next day, I was a total mess when I met up with a friend to catch up. She spent the whole time helping me to calm down...

SARAH CURNOLES BREAKUP COACH I was the girl that thought getting my ex back was the solution. So when new clients come to me and tell me that’s their deepest desire, I really feel and understand this. My breakups were brutal. Not because of the conversation or how it went down, but because of how I felt afterwards. I made myself miserable. I was crying so much I was nauseated. I would drink a second or third glass of wine with dinner just so I could get to sleep at night. Or I cried myself to...

SARAH CURNOLES BREAKUP COACH If you’ve been asking yourself, “Why does this keep happening to me?” It’s because it’s not done teaching you yet. Pain can be your greatest teacher, if you’re ready to pass the course. Here’s how to break the pattern: Step 1: Get curious about your past and look for patterns in dynamics, not specifics. You’re probably not dating the same exact kind of person, but the relationship dynamic probably feels familiar. I fell for: A guy that wanted to date me but not...
